For the Gastech exhibition in Bangkok, Saipem wanted to stand out from its competitors with a stand decorated with « frescos ». The decoration was to represent a photographic kaleidoscope, representing traditional Thailand and Saipem’s gas exploitation infrastructure in this region of the world.
The artist’s solution
The choice was to paint the elements representing traditional Thailand, in terms of architecture, agriculture and nature.
The industrial elements were highlighted by projecting light boxes whose sides illuminated the fresco.
The artist, Philabelle, and the designer worked closely together to combine the structural and decorative elements as well as possible.
Arranged on a curved wall, the visual gradually faded to reveal a notch in the wall in which a ship model was arranged.
In addition to this mural fresco, a bamboo decoration painted and printed on transparent was placed around the reception areas.
